Key
performance indicators (KPIs) are not new. They have been around for
centuries. What is new is that they have now been formalised, recognised
and considered essential. In most organisations, KPIs are being used as
an everyday tool with various degrees of success. Certainly, they are
here to stay and we all need to understand them and discover how we can
use them to help us at work and in our everyday lives.

Trainer Profile
Terry A.
Rogers BSc Civ Eng (Hons), FICE, FIES, FCIWEM, MHKIE, MCIWM, C.Eng
Terry read Civil Engineering at King’s College, London after five years
work and training with a river authority. On graduation, working with a
consultant, he managed water, wastewater and solid waste projects in UK,
Middle East and Hong Kong where he was MD from 1980 to 1989. In 1991, at
Thames Water International he developed “Build, Operate, Transfer” water
treatment projects, and two water concessions, in Malaysia, China,
Thailand and Indonesia. In 2002 he was made Regional Commercial Director
based in Singapore.
He now presents courses on Risk Management, Key Performance Indicators,
Leadership, Climate Change, Relationship Management and Corporate Social
Responsibility.

HR practitioners, line managers and those who wish to enhance their
knowledge and understanding of the useful tool of KPIs.
