The
MGSM Master of Management is a Masters level programme that allows
students to focus on general management. The programme provides an
insight into a specific area of management theory and practice at a
greater depth than the Postgraduate Diploma, is taught at the same
academic level as the MBA and consists of ten course units.
Core Units
As with the MBA, MGSM adopts
the perspective that in order to perform effectively, a manager must be
able to manage money, people and markets. The MGSM Master of Management
has three foundation units to provide students with a solid grounding in
these areas.

A further three core units are
designed to enable you to identify an organisation's key strengths,
select strategies that will enable the achievement of a sustainable
competitive advantage and determine how best to implement these.

Course Duration
The Master of
Management is an intensive eighteen month part-time programme, depending
on timetable availability.
Assessment Methods
MGSM
utilises a variety of assessment procedures, which include:

Class participation
Not
all units have exams. In some units, performance and class participation
marks are awarded. Weightings of each component will vary across units.
