ACCA & SHRI
Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) and ACCA (the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants) have partnered to work together to
develop a framework of co-operation on Continuing Professional
Development – or life – long learning, on joint annual employers’
conferences, joint research, surveys and publications and training and
tutorial support. Both bodies will also extend their current programmes
such as workshops, seminars, dinner and lunch talks to members of both
organisations, and provide each other with speakers for events.
SHRI will also
identify, design and provide learning opportunities for accounting
professionals at ACCA, to acquire new soft skills to enhance their human
outputs.
At the same time
SHRI will work with the ACCA to design and offer programs on accounting
and financial management to help HR practitioners to better appreciate
how accounting and financial management can enhance the value and
quality of employee contributions.
In this way, the
synergy of both the accounting and HR disciplines will ultimately
contribute to the overall human competitiveness of the individual, the
company, and the nation.
SHRI is moving in
tandem with ACCA to solidify these major pillars:
-
Tutorial support to
ACCA – Providing quality ACCA CAT tuition support to ACCA students
to fulfill their needs in attaining a professional certification in
accountancy.
-
Professional
development – Providing soft skills training to accounting
professionals and to create alternative career path for ACCA through
the master degree programmes – such as the Master in Business
Administration and Master in Applied Finance.
-
Mutually
beneficial services – Catering learning opportunities such as
seminars and breakfast talks that align with learning themes of both
ACCA and SHRI. SHRI is also providing job opportunities and career
advisory services to ACCA members
