SHRI’s
DipBF provides candidates with a broad-based knowledge of
banking law, financial accounting, banking services and products,
investment analysis, treasury operations, bank marketing and management.
The programme is structured as continuing education for holders of the
Certificate in Financial Services (or equivalent) as well as trainee
officers who have just embarked on their career in banking and finance.
The Diploma in Banking and Finance is a two-year part-time programme and
graduates of the programme are eligible for exemption from Modules 6 and
8 of the Capital Markets & Financial Advisory Services examination,
which is the qualifying examination for those applying for a
representative's license under the Securities and Futures Act or the
Financial Advisers Act. Exemption is subject to prevailing exemption
guidelines.

Assessment
Methods
Candidates will be assessed on written examinations at the end of each
semester. A three-hour examination for each module will be held at the
end of each semester. Candidates who have passed all modules and satisfied all
requirements will be awarded the Diploma in Banking and Finance.
