Human resource practitioners have a greater need to be effective in their working relationship with others. First, their job requires them to come in contact with all types of people from all levels in the organisation. Second, as professionals involved in personnel work, they are expected by both management and workers to have a good understanding of human behaviour and possess exemplary interpersonal skills.

Designed to help HR officers and supervisors enhance their working relationship with others, SHRI’s CAP programme examines human behaviour and the components for developing key interpersonal competencies.

Part 1 - Understanding Human Behaviour
· Brain and Behaviour
· The Individual
· Interpersonal Behaviour
· Group Dynamics
· Organisational Behaviour
 
Part 2 - Developing Key Interpersonal Competencies
· Self-Awareness
· Sensitivity to Others
· Communicating Clearly
· Listening
· Developing Relationships
· Handling Conflicts
· Influencing Others
· Participating in Groups

The modules listed above may be conducted in a different sequence.

Course Duration

· 3 months; 60 training hours
· Lessons are conducted twice a week

Assessment Methods

Candidates will be assessed through assignments and a written examination. Upon successful completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded the Certificate in Applied Psychology by SHRI.
